Goodness Flowed in From All Directions

Well, I’m officially married. It was a good ceremony. It was a short ceremony. And the brisket kept on coming…for that first plate anyway. Sorry you and Lory couldn’t be there Joseph. We understand. Hopefully any pictures posted will sate your lust for all things wedding related.

Here’s a list of the songs that went down during the ceremony. They are not traditional and probably socially unacceptable. Meh. Check it:

  1. Let it Crawl performed by Society’s Bag
This was the fake intro music for the Maid of Honor’s entrance. It was meant to be a joke. Most everyone laughed. I first heard this song while playing Indigo Prophecy.
  2. Kakariko Village from Hyrule Symphony
The genuine entrance music for the Maid of Honor. Taken from The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, but orchestrated by the series composer Koji Kondo.
  3. Dearly Beloved from Kingdom Hearts II
The entrance music for the bride. Not much to say about this one except that it’s a beautiful piece of music.
  4. Puppet performed by Thousand Foot Krutch
Another joke song. This was supposed to be our exit music.
  5. We’re at the Top of the World performed by The Juliana Theory
The genuine exit music. Came up with this one after Steph decided that exiting to Ocean Avenue by Yellowcard wasn’t in the cards. This is one of our unofficial songs.

The reception playlist was a mish-mash of old and new favorites. Steph insisted we play Julie London at the beginning, but once things shifted to the general playlist, it was everything from Ashlee Simpson (big whoop, wanna fight about it?) to James Taylor to everything in between except John Cale (you know what you did!).

Married life has been too much adjustment accompanied with practically no adjustment whatsoever. But hey, it’s all good. Here’s to the rest of my life. I hope it gets interesting. 😉

  1. Did you like the glasses?

  2. They were blue.

  3. I like the color blue.

  4. I am glad to know that you like it too.

  5. I’ve always liked that Juliana Theory song. Too bad most of their other stuff is a huge letdown from that.
