Our church held a Carnival Day last Sunday. It should be noted that last Sunday meant pouring rain and heavy thunderstorms. However, given the money invested, we went ahead with it anyway when the weather did manage to let up a little. The ground, thoroughly soaked and muddy, left being barefoot as the one good option and since the church front lawn is a well kept piece of grass, this didn’t bother me much.
Still for all the fun that was has, I still managed to leave with a badly sprained foot. This, of course, led to a discussion with my wife about how I never manage to stay out of the hospital for very long. Freaky coincidence, really, given I had never had to spend so much as ten minutes in a hospital until a year and a half ago.
Unable to walk or get down the stairs of our apartment, I was forced to work from home which led to a brief respite of being able watch TV while I tried to get work done, keep my foot elevated and iced, and just stay in good spirits.
While flipping through the stations, I discovered that our cable company recently added several HD channels. This may have happened months ago, but time management being what it is, I’m a bit slow on the uptake of late.
Still, I noticed that one of the new channels was “Nickelodeon HD,” which brought to mind the question,
What in the world do they show on Nickelodeon that would ever require the use of HD?!?
Grr, to any of you that responded SpongeBob. Consider yourself shunned.

There’s a new made-for-tv movie with Amy Sedaris on Nickelodeon coming out called “Gym Teacher” that I actually do want to see!
As for seeing Amy Sedaris in HD – well, I think you already know my answer to that (oh yes). Love that Sedaris comedy gold.
Amy Sedaris? In HD? Thank you Nickeldeon!
Have you read/skimmed her hospitality book “I Like You”? – it’s hilarious.
