Itsy bitsy spider

I reluctantly did nursery today because of some silly confusion. Anyways I had a group of 7 very energetic toddlers. Everything was fine and dandy until one of the kids said

“Hey look Ms. LorY there’s a spider”.

So I immediately turned around and killed it. They all got so upset at me. Then I heard,

“We did not tell you to kill it.” “Why did you kill it?”.

But the best response:

“You were not supposed to kill it, it eats mosquitoes, now this summer when all the mosquitoes bite you, remember that you killed that spider.”

I was cracking up so hard I had to leave the room.
