Have you tried using a combination of an RSS reader for entries and comments (so you know what’s currently going on in the clog) and submitting posts by email (which wordpress is capable of) or using one of the many nifty programs that allow you to post from your desktop without opening the site? Those methods should certainly be able to circumvent any silly filters placed by the School District of Some Town Named After Some Other Town Elsewhere in the World.
