Duller Than Dirt

The Sharper Image has filed for bankruptcy. The cornerstone of useless crappy gadgets is calling it a day. Seriously, though, I don’t think I ever bought anything there. I know I made it a point to go in and have a poke around but never with the intention of buying anything — but then I’m not much for business executive office gadgetry. In fact, it’s rare that I ever saw anyone buy anything there. In the end, my lasting image of The Sharper Image is kids playing around in the massage chairs. Too bad.

On second thought, I think I once wanted a telescope from there. Still didn’t buy it.

Oh well, if you’re seriously bummed out about this — there’s always Brookstone for your useless crappy gadget fix.

  1. The Sharper Image has got to be the biggest waste of space this side of CompUSA. Thank something they both got what they deserved.

  2. I never bought anything from the sharper image, but I took security in knowing that a contour foam pillow was only a trip to the mall away. What’s next? My beloved SkyMall?
